"In recent years, all industries and businesses have demonstrated urgent demands for computing power, and Guizhou has been accelerating the construction of its modern industrial system, which is led by its digital economy. That is exactly the reason why we invest in the province. Now all of our projects based in Guizhou have made ground-breaking progress," said Xue Chengbiao, president of a semiconductor manufacturing enterprise.

Guiyang and Guian New Area are currently embracing the digital economy – a new frontier – to attract more valuable enterprises and projects. At present, the two regions have become one of the places in China with the most intensive distribution of large-scale data centers, and boast seven ultra-large data centers. What really brings businesses to Guiyang and Guian is not only their cool weather, but also their preferential business environments.

"Today's Guizhou has become a widely recognized big data harbor and a digital economy hub, that is why we have established our first large data center in Guian," said Ding Lei, a senior official from NetEase, a domestic internet giant.

Statistics show that digital economy now accounts for more than 44 percent of Guiyang and Guian's GDP.
