Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a business promotion work session for staff members based outside the city on Jan 18.
Officials from the Guiyang government travelled to Shenzhen to visit Huawei, China Merchants Bank and other important business partners to deepen practical collaborations with them, while business promotion officials from Wudang and Baiyun districts went to Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Chengdu for business.
According to the city's investment promotion target for this year, Guiyang will bring in more than 160 billion yuan ($23.47 billion) in funds, and funds for industrial projects will account for more than 55 percent of the total. In addition, Guiyang is expected to attract about 420 high-quality enterprises to set up operations in the city.
Statistics show that in Guiyang and Guian New Area, about 75.6 percent of government affairs can be handled online, and 99 percent of municipal-level procedures can be completed in a single visit.
Guiyang has ranked highly for the past four years in China in terms of the government data transparency level, and it ranks fifth among the world's 30 major cities in terms of its open data index.
