Last year, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province focused on the "1 +7 + 1" key industrial layout, cultivated new industrial clusters, and reshaped their competitive advantages, with their manufacturing scales increasing considerably.
The provincial government has set new tasks for the two places this year – to increase the output per unit area and create a sound industrial ecosystem that encourages the development of all kinds of market players to inspire their vitality.
It was pointed out at the 20th CPC National Congress that the economic focus should be placed on the real economy, and efforts should be made to strengthen the nation's manufacturing, aerospace and aviation, transportation, and information technology (IT).
In addition, all places in China were urged to promote the coordinated development of strategic emerging industries and form new growth points in IT, artificial intelligence, biological technology, new energy, new materials, high-end equipment and eco-friendly businesses.
Guiyang and Guian have mobilized social capital investment by leveraging government investment and policy incentives, and are continuing to expand their investment in industries, infrastructure and social welfare.
