Shuanglong signs 39 project agreements worth over 24b yuan in 2022

Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, signed 39 investment project agreements throughout 2022 with a total contract value of 24.12 billion yuan ($3.5 billion).

The economic zone, covering a total area of 258 square kilometers and centering around Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, focuses on advanced equipment manufacturing, electronic information manufacturing and organic food.

In order to attract more investors, the economic zone sent work teams to many areas in the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta, Sichuan province and Chongqing municipality in 2022. They visited enterprises, participated in various exhibitions and events for the purpose of business engagement, described to companies preferential policies the economic zone offers to the investors and strengthened connections with enterprises.

Thanks to these efforts, investment of 1.6 billion yuan was spent on projects in the economic zone in 2022, and 85.96 percent of the projects are now operating.

Li Yan, deputy chief of the economic zone's investment promotion bureau, said that in 2023, his bureau plans to organize two promotional activities in Shanghai and Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province to invite more enterprises engaged in the industries of advanced equipment manufacturing, electronic information manufacturing and organic food to visit the economic zone in order to ink more investment projects.
