Data suggest that from January to September this year, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province brought in 859 industrial projects with investment totaling 261.85 billion yuan ($36.95 billion).
Among them, 319, or 61 percent, are "1+7+1" major industrial projects, with 36.17 billion yuan in funds already in place.
The report to the CPC National Congress urged the government to shift its focus to real economy and strengthen China in terms of digital economy, transportation, cyberspace, aerospace and manufacturing.
In response to this call, Guiyang's business promotion system will prioritize the attraction of manufacturing, electronic information, advanced equipment, and new energy vehicle projects and double down on efforts to recruit talent as well.
