Guizhou assures orderly output resumption amid pandemic

Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, Southwest China's Guizhou province is said to be working hard to restore the construction of projects and the resumption of production, while preventing and controlling the pandemic.

In northern Guizhou, Guizhou Shale Gas Exploration and Development Co is promoting the exploration and development of shale gas through closed management at all the 11 exploration sites.

From Sept 3 to 12, its exploration site in Zheng'an county drilled 3,530 meters and the 1-1HF mine at Zunyi's Shixi town has been preparing to conduct fracking – a proven drilling technology used to extract oil or natural gas from deep underground. 

Guizhou Changtong Electronic Co, in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, recently received 4 million yuan ($570,179) of orders. To ensure their prompt delivery, the company resumed production with employees working on-site and at home.

Currently, 70 percent of employees are back at work and the company's production capacity is said to be 60 percent of that in August.

The COFCO Coca-Cola beverage factory in the Guian New Area is under closed-loop management and all three production lines are operating. Its 150 or more employees work on site and are producing 580,000 bottles of Coca-Cola per day.

It's understood that all the industry-related government departments in Guizhou are making every effort to stabilize the supply chain and industrial chain, while controlling the pandemic and guaranteeing the shipment of medical materials.

Since Sept 3, Guizhou has issued more than 3,100 traffic permits and transported 1.2 million metric tons of industry-related materials to ensure the supply of industrial production.

In Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture's Longli county, 43 specials have been dispatched to 43 major industrial companies – to help them with the procurement of production raw materials, transport finished products and procure daily necessities and pandemic prevention and control materials.
