News from the Guiyang development and reform commission suggests that the city will initiate 54 new projects in July, involving a total investment of 23.5 billion yuan ($3.5 billion), and about 9.7 billion yuan will be allocated this year.
In infrastructure, Guiyang will invest 46.3 billion yuan in road networks, 600 million yuan in water networks, 1 billion yuan in power networks, 2.6 billion yuan in gas networks, 3.3 billion yuan in underground networks, and 2.1 billion in internet.
By the end of June, Guiyang had registered 31.55 billion yuan in infrastructure investment, accounting for 56.43 percent of its annual target.
