210m yuan issued to accelerate project construction

The Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently issued a fund worth 210 million yuan ($31.37 million) for the construction of the second batch of provincial projects. 

The government supported 104 modernization projects, including Xifeng county's city laneway reconstruction program, Luodian county's old residential area renovation and supporting facility construction project, Chishui city's national agricultural integrated development demonstration park construction project, and Bijie city's Roxburgh rose fruit planting and processing base construction project.

There were also 17 hydraulic infrastructure programs, eight transport infrastructure programs, 11 energy-related infrastructure programs, and five new infrastructure programs financed by the province.

A total of 31 ecological programs for desertification governance, water reservation, and golden monkey protection were also eligible to use the fund.

In addition, 30 welfare programs focusing on improving people's livelihoods were funded by the government.
