Guiyang to launch 50 projects in May

The Guiyang government located in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has released its plan to launch 50 projects in May, involving investments totaling 14.4 billion yuan ($2.14 billion).

The city also plans to invest 55.9 billion yuan in municipal infrastructure projects this year, including 46.3 billion yuan for the road network, 600 million yuan for water supply facilities, 1 billion yuan for the power grid, 2.6 billion yuan for gas pipelines, and 2.1 billion yuan for internet facilities.

By the end of April, about 14.88 billion yuan had been invested in these projects, accounting for 26.6 percent of the annual target.

Guiyang and the nearby Guian New Area plan to implement 597 key engineering projects in 2022.

An inspection team was formed to conduct on-site research visits to new projects being launched.

The visits included a dozen in Yunyan district, 19 in Nanming district, six in Huaxi district, three in Baiyun district, five in Qingzhen city, four in Xiuwen county, eight in Xifeng county, six in Kaiyang county, four in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and two in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone.
