A fact-finding team visited the local manufacturing association of the Longquanyi district of Chengdu city – located in Southwest China's Sichuan province – on April 12.
The team was from the Chongqing municipality representative office of the government of Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – and it was led by office director Yang Liu.
The two sides exchanged insights into advanced equipment manufacturing, electronic information and new energy vehicles, among other things.
Lan Chongyu, chairman of manufacturing association, gave a briefing on the body, which currently has more than 2,000 member enterprises, most being automobile and auto spare parts manufacturers.
Lan vowed to strengthen links and dialogue with Guiyang city and the nearby Guian New Area, broaden cooperation channels, and help facilitate their economic development.
The Chongqing office's Yang hoped the manufacturing association would encourage chambers of commerce and companies in Chengdu to invest in Guiyang and Guian.
