The 2022 working plan for Guizhou's ecological special food industry was issued recently by the government of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Under the plan, the province will strive to achieve total output worth 176 billion yuan ($27.76 billion) this year, with the growth rate projected to top 10 percent. In addition, Guizhou will add some 80 food industrial operators above a designated size – that is those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more.
The plan stated that Guiyang – capital city of the province – is expected to introduce five 100-milliion-yuan food projects in 2022. It will focus on the raw materials supply, processing procedures, business promotions, support program completion, enterprise development and the market expansion of its food sector.
Measures to shape organizational leadership, policy incentives, business entities, the workforce, technologies, financial services and circulation channels will be further strengthened.
Furthermore, joint efforts made by government departments, enterprises, colleges, research institutes and financial institutions are expected to be needed to promote the development of Guizhou's ecological special food industry.
