Southwest China's Guizhou province recently released a three-year action plan to promote the listing and high-quality development of companies.

According to the plan, Guizhou will help five companies get listed domestically and five companies get listed internationally in 2022. By the end of 2023, Guizhou will help 15 companies get listed on domestic and international markets.

In 2021, Guizhou saw three companies get listed, bringing the total number of listed companies to 38. The total equity financing of the 38 listed companies was 30.6 billion yuan ($4.83 billion), an increase of 1,077 percent.

In addition to helping high-quality companies get listed, Guizhou will also help some listed companies expand their business scale and improve operation quality through mergers, acquisitions and bankruptcy reorganization.

The government departments at provincial, municipal and county levels will issue the necessary proof documents to help companies be successfully listed.

Guizhou will cooperate with institutions such as stock exchanges in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing and Hong Kong, take advantage of the Shanghai and Beijing stock exchange bases in the province, and provide one-stop, comprehensive, customized and efficient services to help companies gain access to capital markets.

Guizhou has also established a capital market development joint meeting mechanism at the provincial, municipal and county levels to promote the implementation of an action plan.

By the end of 2021, Guizhou had 33 companies listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and these companies achieved 197.22 billion yuan in business revenue during the first three quarters of 2021, accounting for 14.1 percent of Guizhou's GDP during the same period.
