With an eye to boosting commercial relations with the Chengdu-Chongqing region, the Guiyang bureau of investment promotion on Feb 14 invited Xiao Jian – deputy general manager of high-tech manufacturer Chengdu Reputron Tech Co – to come and hold talks with officials at the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
The zone is located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Chengdu Reputron Tech Co – based in Chengdu city, capital of the neighboring Sichuan province – is a high-tech company that conducts research and manufactures ruggedized computer and precision aerospace parts. A ruggedized, or rugged, computer is one specifically designed to operate reliably in harsh environments and conditions.
The company has supplied such companies as AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Industrial (Group) Co, Avic Xi'an Aircraft Industry (Group) Co and AVIC Guizhou Aviation Industry (Group) Co.
Its deputy general manager highlighted his group's strong aerospace links.
With the company producing and processing spare parts for AVIC Guizhou Aviation Industry (Group) Co, Xiao said it wanted to establish a precision aerospace part manufacturing base and make full use of the geographical advantages of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
It's estimated that the new plant will generate 200 million yuan ($31.54 million) annually in output capacity after being completed.
After giving a brief presentation on the development zone, officials said they hoped the company would put forward a detailed investment plan for the project as soon as possible.
