Representatives from renowned hospitals, medical institutions and enterprises gathered in Naming district, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province to attend a symposium on Dec 8 on the development of modern traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
Huang Chenghong, Party secretary of Nanming district, presided over the meeting, giving a briefing on the district's TCM development. Focusing on national medicine research and product development based on the concept of medicine food homology, Nanming district is now cultivating talent, extending the industrial chain, and forming an industrial ecosystem.
Huang expressed hope that all parties involved in the business to give full play to their respective strengths, seize upon development opportunities, and achieve high-quality development in the TCM industry.
According to Yang Zhu, Party secretary of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, they have been advancing TCM research and technological innovation and increasing the quality of talent.
Yan Li, president of ICE Bioscience Co, highlighted Nanming district's broad development space, pledged to promote practical cooperation in new national medicine research, and called for the establishment of a complete TCM modern industrial system.
