In a bid to further implement Guizhou's five-year plan to make Guiyang, its capital city, stronger, and to strengthen regional cooperation between Guiyang, Hunan province and its capital Changsha, the Guiyang bureau of investment promotion held an industrial investment promotion conference in Changsha on Oct 14.
The conference was attended by nearly 40 Hunan-based chambers of commerce and enterprises involved in the fields of advanced equipment manufacturing, medicine, special food, culture and tourism.
Dai Yi, a researcher working for the bureau, hosted the conference, and started out by introducing the city's overall industrial development. He also elaborated on the strategy behind Guiyang's industrial investment promotion, industrial foundation and transportation. His speech was followed by talks on local investment policies made by representatives from the investment promotion departments of Qingzhen city, Guanshanhu and Wudang districts.
Eight representatives from corporations in Hunan province also gave speeches during the event, expressing their desire to invest in Guiyang and find appropriate opportunities to make field trips to the city to expand their businesses.
The Guiyang government also sent a group to visit three Hunan-based companies: Medoncare Pharmaceutical Co, Huhan Hongshang Testing Technology Co, and Hunan Haodonglin Herbal Pieces Co, in order to learn about their products, technologies, and specific market needs.
Since Guiyang established an investment promotion site in Changsha, the city has taken advantage of big data platforms to target potential investors in Changsha. The investment promotion conference has broadened avenues of cooperation for Guiyang and Hunan firms, and acts as an effective platform for potential collaborations in advanced equipment manufacturing, healthcare, and modern services.
