From Oct 11-12, the Guizhou delegation that consisted of high-ranking provincial and Guiyang municipal leaders launched a research tour to Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province.
The Shenzhen government welcomed the visit and held a special session with the delegation. According to speeches made by government leaders, Shenzhen hopes that Guiyang and Shenzhen will give full play to their own unique strengths, adhere to government-guided, market-oriented, cooperation-based principles, and advance practical collaboration in digital economy, industrial coordination, culture and tourism, and modern agriculture.
Guiyang government officials expressed their gratitude toward the long-term support granted by the Shenzhen government in collaborations between the two cities, and recognized Shenzhen's national importance, strong influence on surrounding regions, and global repute.
Guiyang is currently focusing on the new industrialization campaign, which will be mainly accomplished through the digital and green economies. Guiyang reportedly will take the strong momentum of Guizhou-Guangdong coordination, learn from Shenzhen's advanced development experience, and strengthen exchange with the city in industries, industrial parks, and talent.
The Guizhou delegation investigated Huawei Technologies Co, BYD Co, and Amer International Group, and encouraged them to invest in Guiyang, which is now a vibrant city with preferential development policies and conditions. Guiyang will enhance project cooperation with enterprises, especially in electronic information, intelligent manufacturing, new materials, and new energy vehicles. The Guiyang government will find new ways to offer high-quality services to such projects.
