A recently issued official document on raising Guiyang consumers' satisfaction has made it clear that Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will further enrich consumption supplies, optimize its purchasing environment, and enhance its protection of consumers' legal rights in order to integrate itself into the domestic as well as the international circulations, fully unleash its consumption potential, and accelerate economic development.
China's first-tier cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, along with some strong second-tier cities, have been striving to become international consumption pilot cities. Guiyang can win this competition only by magnifying its specialties and strengths, given that its economy is not that strong.
The city claims to work hand in hand with Chengdu and Kunming to build a cultural and tourism consumption city cluster in Southwest China and create internationally renowned cultural and tourist destinations.
Guizhou is a mountainous province without any plains. Guiyang, as its capital, will shoulder the responsibility of leading Guizhou's development and working with China's other regions to build new scenic spots, design new tourist routes, and promote new tourism products.
