A business promotion symposium that encouraged Zhejiang-based entrepreneurs to invest in Southwest China's Guizhou province was held on July 19 in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang.
The meeting was presided over by Fu Yinggang, deputy director of the Guizhou Bureau of Investment Promotion, and attended by government officials from Liupanshui, Bijie, and Tongren, and representatives from 80 major private enterprises in Zhejiang.
As a part of an upcoming campaign from Aug 22-23 to invite Zhejiang businessmen to invest in Guizhou, the symposium was intended to inform potential Zhejiang-based partners better about Guizhou's ample resources, leading industries, favorable conditions, and development prospects, increase opportunities for Zhejiang investors to engage in Guizhou's special agriculture, 10 industrial sectors, and the modern service field, share with Zhejiang the benefits of a series of reforms in Guizhou, and form a new development paradigm in Guizhou.
Xu Guoqing, president of the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce in Guizhou Province, said that Guizhou is an ideal place for investors to operate. He also expressed a determination to explore more channels to promote commercial exchange between the two provinces.
A promotional video entitled Invest in Guizhou was shown during the meeting, and nearly 30 enterprises confirmed their intention to make investments in the province.
