GETDZ signs contract for hydrogen energy industry project

Dongfang Boiler Co, a subsidiary of Dongfang Electric Corporation, signed a contract with Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) on March 10.

The two sides will cooperate to build a hydrogen energy industrial park with a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($307.75 million).

The industrial park will be developed in two phases. In the first phase, two integrated energy stations for oil, hydrogen, electricity and gas will be constructed. The designed hydrogen refueling scale of each energy station is not less than 500 kilograms per day.

The second phase will cover an area of about 100 mu (6.67 hectares). It will include a fuel cell technology research and development and manufacturing base, a hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing base, a hydrogen energy technology R&D innovation center, a comprehensive energy security center, and an industrial park focused on hydrogen energy.

After the two phases of the project are put into operation, the total annual output value is expected to reach 2.3 billion yuan.

Dongfang Electric Corporation is one of the world's largest power generation equipment manufacturers and one of the biggest general contracting enterprise groups for power station engineering.

In the future, relying on its own advantages, Dongfang Electric Corporation will also cooperate with GETDZ on fuel cells, hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing, heat supply pilot projects, hydrogen energy bus lines, and provincial hydrogen energy laboratories. The goal is to promote the development of the hydrogen energy industry.
