The Guizhou 2020 Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Production and Marketing Matchmaking Conference was held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province on Dec 22, attracting more than 100 participants.
At the meeting, 12 key projects were signed worth 50 billion yuan ($7.66 billion) in agriculture, procurement, research and development, processing, e-commerce, health care service and pharmaceuticals supply chain.

The Guizhou TCM Materials (Big Health) E-commerce Platform was also officially launched at the meeting, which will promote data gathering, exchanges and sharing in the TCM materials industry.
After the meeting, business leaders and guests visited the TCM achievement stands set up at the venue by nine cities and prefectures in Guizhou.
These covered TCM materials, Chinese patent medicines, pharmaceutical equipment, Chinese medical equipment, local ethnic medicine culture inheritance, among others.
Guizhou has a good natural environment and it is one of four major medicinal production areas in the country. In recent years, the province has accelerated the development of its TCM industry.
This year, the province has made every effort to overcome the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic and promote the transformation and upgrading of the TCM industry.
At the end of September, the province's planting area for TCM materials had reached 6.66 million mu (443,833.33 hectares), with an output of 909,900 metric tons.
