Guiyang National High-tech Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) -- located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- signed agreements for two internationally funded projects with a total investment of $30.4 million on Nov 10, the final day of this year's China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.
Apart from the agreements for the two projects to locate in the zone, Guiyang HIDZ also signed off on two major supply contracts, worth $160.61 million, accounting for 57.23 percent of the total purchases by Guiyang at the CIIE.
The two foreign-funded projects signed by the zone are equipment manufacturing industry projects. The supply contracts, meanwhile, involve the purchase of manganese ore, soybeans and other commodities.
The zone will now concentrate on providing follow-up services and follow-up guarantees, to promote the early arrival of the purchased products, the early start-up and production of projects and negotiate to attract more international companies to invest and start business in the zone.
