Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) and Nanjing Software Valley signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Nov 5, focusing on the joint development of the two sides' software sectors.
Guiyang HIDZ is located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, while Nanjing Software Valley is located in Nanjing, capital city of East China's Jiangsu province.
Nanjing Software Valley is China's first software industry base, China's biggest communication software industry research and development base and China's first annual 100 billion yuan-level ($15.12 billion) output software industry base.
It has formed three distinct industrial clusters for communication software, service outsourcing and information services.
The cooperation between the two sides will mainly help Guiyang build three 100 billion yuan-level industrial clusters -- namely, a data center cluster, electronic information manufacturing industry cluster and software and information technology service industry cluster. Meanwhile, the partnership will also provide opportunities, platforms and markets for enterprises in Nanjing Software Valley.
In recent years, Guiyang HIDZ has implemented a big data strategy, promoted the deep integration of big data and the real economy, and made substantial progress in its economic development -- all while improving conditions for its big data sector.
Accord with Nanjing Software Valley meets an urgent need for the high-quality development of Guiyang HIDZ. It was a specific initiative to help Guiyang establish a 100 billion yuan-level software and information technology service industry cluster.
