Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone attracts business in Shanghai

A delegation from Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, attended a project matchmaking event in Shanghai on Aug 26.

The event, which was held by the Guiyang bureau of investment promotion and its Shanghai office, offered the zone an opportunity to promote itself to more than 20 healthcare enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Brochures explaining the advantages of the zone were handed out at the promotional event.

The zone also introduced the benefits of its geographic location, transportation network, open platform, ecological environment and development orientation - with particular reference to a pharmaceutical industrial park project - aiming to invite investment from enterprises in the biomedicine, medical devices, and medical technology sectors.

A delegation from the zone visited ECMOHO, a Shanghai company specializing in the online retail of health products and a solution provider that combines e-commerce, healthcare, cross-border business and an offline-to-online model.

The two parties reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation after an exchange session and on-the-spot investigation. The zone also invited ECMOHO to conduct a field survey and hopes to persuade the enterprise to launch its national headquarters there and to cooperate on warehousing, logistics, and cross border trade.

As a national airport development zone, the zone has a first-class airport. Meanwhile, it has also built a bonded warehouse, which is beneficial to the import trade of enterprises.

The zone is committed to high-quality growth and to giving full play to its pioneering role in reform and opening up. It plans to build five industrial clusters in biomedicine, medical devices, health services, health finance and pharmaceutical circulation, and develop itself into a leading health industrial park in Southwest China.
