Qingzhen sees thriving development of commerce, trade

Qingzhen, a county-level city in Guiyang, in Southwest China's Guizhou province has seen thriving growth of its commerce and trade services, actively contributing to its development of high standards, levels and quality. 

Stimulate consumption for new commerce and trade

From January to August, Qingzhen took a series of measures to expand the types of businesses there, after it made a breakthrough in attracting a high-end business complex. The Qingzhen Wuyue Plaza, Seazen Holdings' first Guizhou project, is expected to boost the commerce and trade development in Qingzhen, officials said. 

In addition, the county-level city saw large number of visitors enjoy themselves at tourist destinations, such as Time Town, the Chinese Town in Central Park and Chama Ancient Town. 

As of now, Qingzhen is home to 23 commerce and trade key projects, with total investment of 27.36 billion yuan ($3.9 billion), 18 of which are under construction and five are scheduled to be built. 

Moves to develop special cultural, tourism zones

In line with Guiyang's requirements to develop provincial pedestrian malls, Qingzhen has selected sites to develop special business blocks and streets. 

Covering about 90,000 square meters, Time Town is Guiyang's first leisure and tourism business block based on cultural inheritance, tourism, holiday resorts, leisure and entertainment. 

Since its opening to the public in August 2014, Time Town has received more than 11.4 million visitors and won a number of national and provincial honors for culture and tourism. It is now a China 5A tourist destination, the country's highest ranking for scenic spots. 

Targeted measures for medium, high-end consumption 

Qingzhen has always continued its efforts to cultivate a group of medium and high-end commerce and trade projects, establish an economy featuring business zones and promote Guiyang's commerce and trade to develop at a higher level. 

Meanwhile, officials said it will among other things encourage popular consumption spots and new growth places and expand its consumption scale to consolidate its development as a medium and high-end consumption city. 

For its next step, Qingzhen plans to accelerate the development of some medium and high-end special business blocks and move to launch one or two provincial pedestrian malls.

It will also further expand it's the range of its  brands and improve its consumption level.
