Guizhou Fair to be held September 7 to 10 in Guiyang Municipality

On July 31, a press conference on the upcoming 2019 Guizhou Inland Open Economic Pilot Zone Investment and Trade Fair ("Guizhou Fair") was held in the city of Guiyang. According to the event, Guizhou Fair will be held Sept7 to 10 in Guiyang.　　

Guizhou Fair is an open platform that is focused on investment and trade discussions. It was established after the province was approved by the central government for constructing an inland open economy pilot zone in 2016. As a platform, it is dedicated to promoting advantageous resources, preferential policies, a sound environment, and featured industries to the outside world, advancing multilateral exchanges and letting the world learn more about Guizhou, while giving Guizhou a greater global presence.

With a theme "eastern-western synergy on industrial investment", for the purposes of constructing "three districts and one environment" in Guizhou as an inland open economy pilot zone, the fair shows the world the strong local demands on industries out of poverty-reduction needs, and serves as a new bridge between the province and global business sectors.

Deputy Governor of Guizhou Lu Yongzheng said at the press conference that the 2019 fair will seek diversified content, greater opportunities in industrial cooperation, a higher degree of global exchanges, and better business attraction. Also according to him, investment and trade projects are expected to be signed at the event will value more than 100 million yuan, along will more than 1000 new projects with strong technological edges and radiation effect.

Themed activities such as "One Fair", "One Exhibition" and "One Series", in addition to multiple special campaigns, will be hosted.

"One Fair" is the eastern-western synergy on business attraction fair. This event will utilize policy strength in eastern-western synergy on poverty-alleviation, deepen two-way investments, promote industrial cooperation, and undertake industry transfer. Global business chambers and associations, international organizations, multinational corporations, government heads and authority representatives from support partner cities, and companies involved in industrial transfer will be invited to the event to launch direct discussions with relevant regions. The fair sets out to promote two-way assistance between the east and the west under a new development pattern of a synergized inland open economy.

"One Exhibition" is the Key Industrial Park Investment Promotion Exhibition. Held at the opening ceremony, the exhibition will show the policy environment and key business attraction achievements of the province, as well as its sound industrial investment environment, industry attraction results and industrial chain development trend of 1+8 national-level open innovation platforms.

"One Series" includes a series of business activities, seminars, releases, and field trips. Focusing on aluminum, high-end equipment manufacturing, hydrogen energy, financial services, and education, multiple sessions will be held. Moreover, each city and prefecture will host at least one featured industry sub-session in joint effort with a commerce chamber or association. Multiple seminars on the inland open economy platform and business environment will be available as well. A batch of key industrial business attraction projects and industrial development policies and measures will be released. A field trip to Guizhou for domestic and global business owners will also be conducted.

Ma Lei, director of industry attraction leadership team, Party secretary and head of Guizhou Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau, in response to questions raised by participants, said that the executive committee of Guizhou Fair is inviting heads of government agencies, heads of support partner cities and authorities, heads of global and domestic intermediaries and business chambers, experts and researchers from global universities, and decision-makers of World Top 500, China Top 500, Top 500 of Chinese Non-state-owned Sector, and leading industrial companies. According to latest update, the upcoming event will outperform the last session in terms of guest number and level.  

Guizhou Fair, in its third session, has been attracting guests from the areas of government, research, education, and investment from more than 40 countries and regions in the world such as the USA, Germany, and Italy. Approximately 3000 investment and trade projects have been signed on this important platform for the open economy and business attraction by Guizhou Province.
