Guiyang athletes shine at roller-skating competition

The roller-skating competition of the mass participation events at the 12th Guizhou Provincial Games concluded at the Weng'an County National Fitness Center on May 31, with the Guiyang delegation winning eight gold, four silver, and two bronze medals.

The competition featured three categories – speed skating, speed slalom, and freestyle slalom – covering 12 events in total. A total of 120 roller-skating athletes from nine teams across Guizhou province competed.

On the speed skating track, athletes from the Guiyang delegation maintained a low aerodynamic posture, demonstrating smooth rhythm, stable cornering acceleration, and powerful finishing sprints. They consistently broke through in both short- and long-distance events, achieving strong results.

In the freestyle slalom events, the skaters performed with ease and precision, showcasing fluid and connected movements. Their routines combined agility and control, delivering both strong technical execution and high visual appeal.
