The Guizhou provincial-level research project "Construction of the Key Laboratory of the Guiyang Institute of Ecology and Environment Sciences" received approval from the Guizhou Provincial Department of Science and Technology on April 8.

The research project, undertaken by the Guiyang Institute of Ecology and Environment Sciences, focuses on technical research in areas such as water, soil, air, and waste.

During the research period, a total of 21 municipal-level projects, part of the provincial research, were implemented, including the analysis of ozone sources in Guiyang, the assessment of water quality in drinking water sources, studies on 20 solid waste landfills, investigations into soil background values, and the construction of a "zero-waste city" in Guiyang.

Throughout the research period, the institute has completed 12 research reports and achievements in the field of ecological environmental protection, five of which have been adopted and replicated by the Guiyang municipal people's government. Additionally, the institute has applied for seven invention patents, obtained five software copyrights, published seven academic papers, and provided 30 specialized training sessions on environmental research for related departments and companies.

In conjunction with this research, the Guiyang Institute of Ecology and Environment Sciences has successfully established a smart detection laboratory based on the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), significantly improving the intelligence level of its laboratory management. Furthermore, the institute has established an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Remote Sensing Center, where it gradually applies drones to serve the government and environmental authorities in the management of the ecological environment.
