Guiyang furthers livable village construction with neighboring areas

A seminar focusing on constructions of ecological, livable and beautiful villages was held in Guilin, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Oct 17-19, along with the fifth joint meeting on Guangdong-Guangxi-Guizhou-Yunnan High-speed railway economic belt cooperation.

During the seminar, a series of actions plans were discussed, including ecological water restoration, solid wastes disposal, domestic sewage comprehensive governance, drinking water safety, polluting enterprises governance, beautiful village + sharing farms tourism development and environmentally friendly internet of things + big data intelligent monitoring. 

More than 220 participants from environmental protection industrial associations, environmental protection-related enterprises and colleges attended the seminar, including Qiao Yunqing, deputy director of the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment.

Qiao put forward his ideas and suggestions on the construction of beautiful villages and the prevention of rural pollution, and called for strengthened cooperation and exchanges on environmental protection along the economic belt. 

He pointed out that through complementing each other's advantages among the four places on the belt, cities along it are expected to make progress in green economic development.
