The Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone granted prizes to 162 enterprises that have made great contributions to the high-quality development of the region and signed 27 projects in the sectors of manufacturing, characteristic food and modern services, totaling more than 10 billion yuan ($1.46 billion), during an award ceremony held on March 28.

The enterprises included the famous Guizhou chili sauce brand Laoganma, which has a daily output exceeding 3 million bottles and exports its products to more than 130 countries and regions around the world, AVIC Heavy Machinery Co, an industry leader listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and Boqiang Pharmacuetical. Key projects included the Suzhou Laili Emerging Intelligent Industrial Park and the medical and healthcare complex and creative tourism project.
There are currently 10,132 business entities in the zone, and that number is expected to reach 12,500 by 2025.
"The conference boosted market confidence, reflecting the government's recognition of enterprises' efforts and encouraging their future development," said Bai Mei, financial manager of Guizhou Bokai Logistics Park Investment Co Ltd. He said Bokai will join hands with the zone to make pharmaceutical logistics more stable and much stronger.
Relying on its advantages in terms of location, natural scenery, supporting facilities, logistics services and business-friendly environment, the zone has become a fertile ground for investment and entrepreneurship in Guiyang and Guizhou as well as a new center for industrial development.
Yang Renzhong, secretary of the Party working committee of the zone, said that this year, the zone will continue to boost logistics, open international flights and cargo routes for cross-border e-commerce, gather foreign trade enterprises and accelerate the development of an open economy.
