Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs invited experts from Guizhou University, Guizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and municipal and district agricultural departments to Zhaosi village demonstration base in Qiantao township on Jan 28.

The team conducted a field inspection of the provincial project focused on the demonstration and promotion project of ecological scallion cultivation technology.

In early October 2025, the base introduced the premium "Yunnan small black scallion" variety, along with new ecological cultivation techniques. After several months of meticulous cultivation, the project reached the acceptance stage.

On-site, the experts reviewed the project briefing, inspected seedling growth, and conducted field yield measurements by randomly selecting plots, measuring areas, and weighing harvested scallions. They also conducted a comprehensive audit of core indicators, including implementation scale, organizational mechanisms, and the integration of technical applications.

By establishing a "soil-crop-product" ecological chain, the project demonstrates integrated technologies such as soil improvement, green pest control, and integrated water-fertilizer irrigation.

Through agronomic measures like crop rotation and optimized planting density, the project achieved excellent seed varieties, improved quality and efficiency, strengthened the supply chain, and enhanced the ecological environment. This integrated approach has increased yields, reduced costs, and optimized the local planting conditions.
