In the midst of summer, tea enterprises in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, are busy producing summer and autumn tea, rejuvenating tea gardens of all sizes.
In recent years, Guiyang and Gui'an have continuously enhanced processing technology, tea garden management, and the picking rate of fresh tea leaves. This has led to an increase in both the yield and quality of summer and autumn tea, further boosting incomes for tea enterprises and farmers.
This year, Guiyang and Gui'an have supported multiple tea enterprises in upgrading facilities and equipment for efficient processing. For instance, Kaiyang Zhelong Tea Industry Development Co in Nanlong township, Kaiyang county, has introduced fully automated bulk tea production equipment this year. With conveyors facilitating the entire process from withering to drying and sorting, the factory can process 7,500 kilograms of tea leaves daily.

Kaiyang, as the main producer of summer and autumn tea in Guiyang and Gui'an, boasts over 80 enterprises operating across 60,000 mu (4,000 hectares) of tea gardens.
Wang Xiang, director of the agricultural technology promotion station of the Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs, outlined future plans, saying: "Our focus will be on increasing summer and autumn tea production by introducing 10 digital, continuous, and clean production lines to enhance bulk tea output and quality. Emphasis will also be place on quality control, promoting green tea garden production technologies, and providing technical training."
