This year, Huaxi district in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, is fully promoting the construction of high-standard farmland, aiming to transform and upgrade 333.33 hectares of such farmlands by 2023.
Commencing construction in early October, all projects have achieved an overall construction progress rate of 85 percent.
"In parallel, Qingzhen city is undertaking significant efforts to enhance and convert 666.67 hectares of farmland this year, with a target to establish 1,333.33 hectares of high-standard farmlands. To ensure the timely completion of the main construction, the city signed a cooperation agreement with Guiyang Industrial Development Holding Group, the entity responsible for the project implementation, with a commitment to finishing the primary construction tasks before Dec 31," said Xu Zhenjun, a staff member of the local bureau of agriculture and rural affairs.
Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang City and Guian New Area have prioritized food security, strengthening supervision over all aspects of high-standard farmland construction, including planning and design, project construction, fund payment, and completion acceptance.
