Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang City and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have focused on fulfilling their rural toilet transformation target.
So far, they have set up and renovated toilets for 6,578 rural households and established 17 public washrooms in villages.
The toilet construction procedures have been strictly followed. In addition, 160 toilet construction training sessions have been arranged, cultivating more than 2,700 grassroots cadres and artisans.
Guiyang and Guian have also built 14 sewage treatment and toilet construction demonstration sites and 14 long-term management and maintenance platforms for rural toilets.
