The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently announced the list of the latest national key leading agricultural industrialization enterprises, with 63 companies from Southwest China's Guizhou province making the cut. Among them, two are based in Guiyang, the provincial capital.
The two companies are Guizhou Forryea Technology (Group) Co and Guizhou Vegetable Group Co.
Established in 2000, Guizhou Forryea Technology (Group) Co is a large modern agricultural and animal husbandry enterprise engaged in the entire pig industrial chain, including the raw material supply chain, feed production, pig breeding, meat processing, and digital operation of pig farming.
Guizhou Vegetable Group Co, founded in 2019, has been leveraging its role as a leading vegetable enterprise to create a large-scale planting base. It has helped increase the incomes of 42,296 farmers, with an average income growth of 2,100 yuan ($288.94) per person.
As of now, Guiyang is home to a total of 106 leading agricultural industrialization enterprises at or above the provincial level and 83 at the city level.
