Bureau holds meeting for tea business operators

To facilitate the high-quality development of the local tea industry, help tea manufacturers solve existing problems, and boost the healthy development of private tea industry operators, Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs organized a meeting for Guiyang tea industry operators on Dec 21.

A total of 38 representatives from Kaiyang, Xiuwen, Xifeng counties, Qingzhen city, Guanshanhu and Huaxi districts attended the conference. They exchanged opinions on their operations, development plans, and difficulties.

The meeting urged tea enterprises to prioritize their brands, tea quality, and the extended value of their products, developing black tea, white tea, and oolong tea while centering on green tea.

Tea business operators were also suggested to play the green planting approaches fully, minimize the use of fertilizers and pesticides, and apply for green and organic product identification.
