Training session highlights role of mechanization

On April 19, a training session aimed at enhancing the grain and oil yield per unit area in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area was held in Xiniu village of Qingzhen city. During the demonstration phase, attendees were captivated by the on-site agricultural machinery, expressing their amazement at the significant role of mechanization in increasing grain and oil yields.

The training session, combining on-site observation with indoor training, saw the participation of over 100 representatives, including officials in charge of agriculture and rural affairs at various levels in Guiyang and Gui'an, as well as representatives from grain cooperatives and large-scale grain growers.

The Qiansongyun Agricultural Service Center in Qingzhen offers a comprehensive range of services in agricultural supplies, fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, agricultural machinery maintenance, and warehousing and logistics.

Less than a kilometer away from the center is the village's seedling breeding base. Sowing machinery is frequently used at the base, with a seedling omission rate reduced to less than 1 percent.

The base has achieved full mechanization in its sowing, seedling cultivation, and transplanting work, as well as in its plant protection and harvesting work.

This year, efforts will be made to strive for a comprehensive mechanization rate of over 61 percent for the cultivation and harvesting of the city's major crops.
