Action plan targets rural house governance

The Guiyang rural house governance office has recently worked with the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, the Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs, and the Guiyang bureau of culture and tourism, to formulate an action plan to improve the quality of rural houses, and give full play to vacant rural houses in order to increase incomes of villagers.

A total of 10,000 rural houses will be renovated through garden cleanup, living function enhancement, and surrounding environment improvement.

Experts and professional colleges will be entrusted to train villagers on professional skills and safe production. This year, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area will cultivate 1,000 new rural construction workers.

Villages and rural residents are encouraged to participate in the tearing down of abandoned rural houses and farms, so as to get rid of potential safety hazards.

In addition, normalized supervision will be carried out to ensure that no one lives in dilapidated houses.
