Over the last three quarters of this year, Guiyang City and Guian New Area have reported a total farming, forestry, husbandry and fishing output of 26.95 billion yuan ($3.75 billion), up 4 percent and ranking third in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Guiyang's per capita disposable income of rural permanent residents stood at 18,215 yuan, ranking first in the province, while the growth rate of that income in Guian New Area came in at 8.5 percent.
Guiyang and Guian have exceeded their agricultural production goal, and have reached a registered yield total of 429,400 metric tons.
An urban-rural logistics system that combines a logistic operation center, parcel delivery centers, parcel distribution centers, and logistic stations has also been established.
There are nine agricultural product processing clusters in total in Guiyang and Guian. So far, 60 agricultural projects have been introduced this year, totaling 3.28 billion yuan in contract value.
Guiyang and Guian also boast 188 agricultural enterprises at or above the municipal level, 246 recreational family farms, as well as 164 demonstration villages, each of which has unique characteristics.
Over the first nine months of this year, Guiyang and Guian have utilized 1,006 vacant rural houses, renovated 4,028 dilapidated houses, carried out 14 rural water supply projects, and implemented 16 township sewage water treatment improvement programs.
