Guiyang and Guian exceed annual rapeseed planting goal

As of Nov 12, the planting area for rapeseed in Guiyang City and Guian New Area reached 32,640 hectares, accounting for 103.5 percent of this year's target.

A set of guidelines on autumn-winter grain and oil production in Guiyang City and Guian New Area for 2023 have also been issued. Moreover, inspections of the packaging and sales records of agricultural materials have been meticulously carried out.

Guiyang City and Guian New Area have striven to obtain funding from governments at both the central and provincial level, and have implemented financial subsidies to support autumn-winter agricultural production.

The promotion of high-yield, high-quality, and stress-resistant varieties that are suitable for the market has been prioritized. Four touring guidance teams and eight supervision teams have also been set up to provide field management and technical guidance.

A total of 1,094 agricultural technicians have provided services to over 6,000 farmers, ensuring the orderly roll-out of autumn-winter agricultural production.
