Winter loquat nurturing work begins

The Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs arranged a winter loquat nurturing technique teaching session in Wangzhai village in Qingzhen city, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Oct 31.

The session was participated in by 55 loquat growers. Agronomist Yang Yongsheng was invited to teach water and fertilizer management, pest and disease prevention and control and more. He also demonstrated trimming and grafting techniques on a local farm.

Wangzhai village has 100 hectares of loquat planting areas, and it has produced more than 70,000 kilograms of loquats this year.
