Bureau holds edible fungi industrial development promotion meeting

The 2023 third vegetable (edible fungi) industrial development promotion meeting was held on Oct 12, hosted by Gan Zhaohui, deputy head of the Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs.

Exchanges on the fulfillment of quarterly and yearly targets, vegetable growing, and major project applications for the next year were carried out.

It was stated at the conference that the development of the edible fungi industry is closely associated with people's lives and the stability of the local economy.

Officials were asked to focus on quarterly and annual targets, make coordinated efforts across departments, strengthen top-down designs, analyze current arable land, crop output and other key indicators, form specific measures, and build centralized agricultural demonstration bases instead of fragmented ones.

Efforts will also be made to cultivate professional edible fungi market entities, launch investigations into processing procedures and sales markets inside and outside Guiyang, and address weak links in the industrial chain.
