After years of constructing high-standard farmland, Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province now has more than 13,333.33 hectares of rice fields suitable for mechanized operation. By Sep 16, Guiyang had used 102 harvesters to reap over 1,333.33 hectares of rice.
The Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs has clarified the mechanized work volume and formulated scientific harvest tasks to ensure that every piece of field is tilled as soon as it is harvested.
"The township government helped us with irrigation when the field was suffering from drought, and offered us guidance on the autumn harvest," said a villager surnamed Wang in Shuilong township of Kaiyang county.
