The Guizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences began cooperating with the Guiyang government on June 13, and unveiled its Guiyang branch on the same day, in order to boost the city's agricultural modernization and promote coordination between poverty alleviation and rural vitalization work.
Moving forward, the two sides will initiate programs centered on five aspects – agricultural development, agricultural brands, agricultural technology commercialization, talent exchange, and agricultural projects, with focuses on grain, oil, vegetables, herbs, tea, sea food, livestock and poultry.
The academy will arrange technological and practical training sessions in Guiyang to refine the city's agricultural technologies and improve agricultural management.
By 2025, the Guiyang branch is expected to become a national new agricultural crop cultivation demonstration base, as well as a technology training center for professional farmers.
