Ma Xiao, head of the Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs, presided over a pandemic prevention and control meeting for rural areas in Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province on Jan 6.
Officials were urged to identify and treat patients with serious symptoms as early as possible. They were also told to protect people's health and security as much as possible, and minimize the adverse effect of the pandemic on socioeconomic development.
The supply of medicine, especially pain killers and drugs for coughs, colds, and fevers will be guaranteed. Meanwhile, the production and circulation of medical products will also be given due attention to ensure that the medicine market operates in an orderly manner.
