In 2021, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province are expected to achieve approximately 65 billion yuan ($9.7 billion) in agricultural product processing output, produce 43.57 metric tons of grain, and register a rural resident per capita disposable income increase of 9 percent year-on-year to 20,355 yuan.
This year, Guiyang and Guian have built 8,820 hectares of high-standard farmlands, investing 206.81 million yuan, exceeding the annual target. In addition, the government has established 49.9 kilometers of ditches, 36 kms of drain pipes, 120 reservoirs, and 310.4 kms of tractor roads.
A total of 28.23 million yuan has been invested in new rural centralized water supply programs. Meanwhile, 6315 living waste collection sites for villages containing more than 20 households have been built.
