On Nov 11, villagers in Guaiji village, Wudang district, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, were seen working at a newly built high-quality farming land base.
This high-quality farming land project was launched on Dec 30, 2020, and was finished on May 30 this year, including the construction of pumping stations, ponds, pipes, irrigation systems and country roads, said an official in charge of the project.
The kiwi fruit garden of the base involves about 100 hectares of transferred land and 396 rural households. The garden has also brought new jobs to nearly rural residents.
During the first 10 months of 2021, Guiyang and Guian New Area established 8,333.33 hectares of such lands, fulfilling 96 percent of their yearly target, as well as 56.15 kilometers of ditches, 137.83 kms of water pipes, 104 reservoirs, and 260.79 farm tracks.
