Wudang boosts rural revitalization development

In the past five years, Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has boosted rural revitalization by relying on its unique ecological advantages.

Huanglian village in Yangchang town, Wudang is working to preserve red culture and develop red eco-tourism. This year, the village has received 100,000 tourists.

"The village has introduced Guizhou Fengxiangbiao Co to develop green activities and ecological tourism. In addition, the cold-water fish farming industry has been introduced to drive farmhouse and agricultural products sales. Now cold-water fish has become our special delicacy," said Li Changzhi, the Party branch secretary of Huanglian village.

In Gujin village, Xiaba town, 70 kilometers from Huanglian village, Yang Mingxiu, the village's inheritor of Yin Miao culture, is sewing customized Yin Miao clothing for tourists.

Rich in Yin Miao culture, Gujin Village is cooperating with Guizhou Minzu University and fully integrates local ethnic cultural resources to develop a path toward rural revitalization suitable for the village.

The grape base in Matou village, Xinbao township has long been an attractive place for Guiyang people. Every weekend and holiday, tourists come to pick grapes, take pictures, and experience the beautiful scenery.

Xinbao township has developed under the "industrial base + agricultural product sales + pastoral theme tourism" model, driving new rural development models such as farmhouses and homestays throughout the year.

Wudang has now formed a new development model using its own rural and tourism resources.
