3 Guiyang agricultural firms make national list

Three agricultural companies based in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, have made the seventh list of key agricultural modernization enterprises, according to local news reports on Oct 14.

Guiyang is currently home to more than 5,000 agricultural market entities.

Key agricultural enterprises play a significant role in the agricultural modernization process.

In 2020, the number of key agricultural enterprises at or above the municipal level in Guiyang and Guian New Area stood at 148, eight of which were at the national level, 96 of which were at the provincial level, and 44 of which were at the municipal level. These companies registered a total annual output of 28.91 billion yuan ($4.28 billion) and generated 21.61 billion yuan in annual sales.
