The Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs has mapped out a work plan designed to assist villagers in Kaiyang county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Four measures have been launched by the bureau. Special guiding teams will be sent to those rural areas which have been hit hardest by the extreme weather. Agricultural production also needs to be resumed, so professional technicians will be designated to deliver post-disaster aid and scientifically arrange supplementary planting work.

The bureau will report the damage caused by the extreme weather to the upper-level authorities and apply for financial support.

Bureau officials will take turns to be on duty around the clock in order to cope with emergencies related to droughts or floods.
