Guiyang airport adds new ride-hailing pick-up points

Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport launched its new ride-hailing pick-up point on Sept 24 to further improve ground transportation services and enhance the travel experience for passengers.

Systematic upgrades have been made to the pick-up area in terms of layout, organization, service facilities, and smart management, achieving improvements in both the passenger experience and transfer efficiency. As of Oct 7, the area has served a total of 22,682 ride-hailing vehicles.

The airport has relocated the original ride-hailing pick-up point on Basement 2 of Terminal 2 to the ground-floor parking lot, and a new pick-up point has been added at Terminal 3. The revised layout diverts incoming and outgoing traffic and balances vehicle loads between the two terminals. Upon arrival, passengers can quickly locate the pick-up area with reduced walking distance.

The airport has optimized the parking bays and access lanes for ride-hailing vehicles. A 400-square-meter canopy has been built, and over 100 m of walkways renovated. Rest seats and directional signs are equipped to create a comfortable and convenient waiting environment for passengers.

Information screens have been installed in the waiting area to show real-time order-taking updates, enabling information sharing between drivers and passengers.

The airport will continue to track operational performance, standardize and optimize service procedures, and improve its support capacity.
